Octavian E. N. P Mshiu (Managing Director & C.E.O)

Today at his (40) years of age, currently pursuing his final stage of Strategic Business Management Course with Sweden Institute of Public Administration.

A highly experienced Managing Director with a Master’s Degree of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Wales (Robert Kenedy College – Zurich; Switzerland), a Post graduate in Economic Diplomacy at the Centre for Foreign Relations – (CFR Tanzania) and Diploma on Environmental Health and Safety at Muhimbili University College of Health Science of the University of Dar es Salaam (DEHS)

Formally in 1994 he was employed as an Environmental Health Officer and Operations manager at the Environmental Protection Ltd.

After four solid years in employment, he decided to venture into entrepreneurship and registered a company called Opensanit Company Limited, a company that has grown into a firm that delivers quality service at international standards. Currently, he manages 70 permanent employees and over 80 others on contract basis.

He is a recognized professional on Business Administration, Environmental Health and services specialist and an active member of various institutions including the Tanzania Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture (TCCIA). He is also an Ordinary Member Tanzania Red-Cross-Society and Force Front Member – Heritage Interpretation International Since 1995.

As MD he is responsible of the following roles; As a Communicator, Decision maker, Leader, Manager and Executor. The communicator role can involve the press and the rest of the outside world, as well as the Organization’s Management and employee’s team. The decision-making role involves high-level decisions about policy and strategy. As a leader, the CEO/MD advises the management, motivates employees, and drives change within the organization. As a manager, the CEO/MD presides over the organization’s day-to-day, month-to-month, and year-to-year operations.


Forty years of age (40) Mr. Baraka holds a Bachelor Degree of Business Administration- (Kampala International University – KIU), Full Technical Certificate (FTC) at Mbeya Technical College (MTC) and a General course in Engineering (GCE) at Dar es salaam Technical College (DARTECH). Baraka brings 3 years of supervisory field experience at The Guardian newspapers 1999, knowledge know how on Calibration and Pumps installations at British Petroleum Tanzania Limited 2000 to 2001. He joined Opensanit Company Limited as an Operation Manager or Sales and Marketing Executive in 2002 and powered the company towards quality knowledge transfer and capacity building for local staff.

From 2005 to date Baraka is the General Manager of Opensanit Company limited As a General Manager he has a broad, overall responsibility in this organization. Whereas a manager may be responsible for one functional area but as the General Manager is responsible for all areas from the Planning and Administration roles to the wide Human Resource management ranging.

ADELARD LEODEGARD –  Finance & Administrative Manager

Thirty four (34) years old Mr. Adelard graduated from Kas Informatic Collage in June 2007 as a Material Management stage II professional with a quite experience at Open Sanit enterprises as,

  • Marketing Representative: 2003 – 2004
  • Operation Assistance and Store Officer 2004 – 2005
  • Administration and Finance Assistance: 2005 – 2006
  • Administration and Finance Officer: Jan2007 to Dec 2010
  • Administration and Finance Manager Jan 2011 to date

Apart from of his financial roles Mr Adelard is also a Company secretary and responsible for ensuring that a company complies with standard financial and legal practice and maintains standards of corporate governance. Although they are not strictly required to provide legal advice.

ZAHORO B. MOSES – Financial Controller

Today at his (35) years old Mr Zahoro Holds a Master’s Degree of Science in Economics and Finances (Bradford University-Mzumbe University), a Post Graduate of Financial Management (IFM) and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration (CBE).

The duties of a financial controller are to oversee the accounting functions within an organization and internal controls at the highest level of management. Financial controller responsibilities are to work alongside the executive Management team and provide informative business financial information and coordinate business financial planning and budget management functions. Financial controller duties are to provide accurate, secure and timely recording of business activities and the ability to report of those business activities.

MOSES E. MATEMU (Marketing Manager)

Currently at his (32) years old Mr Moses E Matemu has a vast knowledge experience on PPE’s (Personal Protective Equipment) with a Certificate from Mines Safety Appliance- MSA a global safety Company (October 2011 & October 2013), worked as an Operational Manager at Casphil Tanzania Limited with a number of achievements such as boosting the Annual Revenue of 2003/2004 by 45% of the total sales and being recognized as the Best hard Worker of the year 2004.

Earlier 2005- 2007 he was enrolled at Opensanit Company Limited as a Marketing Executive who was involved in all aspects of marketing which covers planning, coordination, promotions, public relation between the customers and firms, customer relationship roles, distribution of products and services, collection and research.

In 2008 to date Moses became the Marketing Manager at Opensanit Company Limited and as Marketing Manager primarily task is to manage the marketing resources of a product or business, he is in charge of a single product, brand or marketing in general [which is the case with us], and in other companies those managing a product are called Product Manager or Brand Manager.

ANASTASIA M. KILONDA (Public Relations & HR Manager) At her (31) years of age main major role as the face of the company or spokesman/woman is to manage flow of information between individuals or organization ,make the company gain exposure in public using various tools and image repair where necessary ,make people speak good about company and its products in general use topics of public interest which are not necessarily money to gain audience…which in return will pursued public ,investors ,customers ,partners ,employee and other stake holders maintain certain positive view about the company in general

Activities may include representing company in Conference, Exhibition and fairs, Social gatherings, Press conference and employee communication

In HRM role, the functions are related to people Hiring, Performance management, Organization development, Safety, Wellness, Benefits, Employee Motivation, Communication, Administration and Training.

KELVIN A. MLAY (Business Development Manager)

Twenty Seven years old (27) Kelvin a Candidate of Master’s Degree in Business

Administration MBA (Marketing & Entrepreneurship) at TUDARCO, a holder of Bachelor of Arts Degree in Public Relations and Marketing from University of St Augustine University (SAUT) and Certificate of Journalism and Mass Media- CJM at St Augustine University of Tanzania (SAUT). He is currently the Business Development Manager of Opensanit Company Limited.

The position for Business Development role is important to any organization in the current age., the main responsibility is to develop and generate new business opportunities, the success is measured on the ability to do as such exploring exceptional sales, marketing and research skills with effective and successful results, in supporting business, the role is extended to bidding for new projects or tenders too.
